Welcome to Anvil Lake Lodge. Our family loves the Northwoods. We built this house as a place to invite friends and family to connect with one another and enjoy the outdoors. It has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It has large living places indoors and outdoors. The basement has a fun game room for rainy days or to take a break from the sun or snow. Anvil Lake a 377 acre lake 15 minutes east of downtown Eagle River. It is a quiet spot to enjoy the outdoors but close enough to town to go to shops, grocery, restaurants. We hope you enjoy your stay with us!

This home was spectacular! My family loved the space- plenty of room, so clean, well-stocked kitchen, a fully furnished game room, fire pit, kayaks, hammocks, grill, outdoor spaces, outdoor games, etc. Dan was incredibly accommodating and communicative during the whole process. This home is a true gem.

We had a great stay with our crew of 12 and made a whole ton of memories that will last a lifetime! This lodge has plenty of room for comfort, leisure and play. Although we didn’t get to utilize the lake because of the rain, it sure was gorgeous to view from the covered patio! 10/10 would stay here again!

Anvil Lake Lodge was a beautiful stay located near all the fun winter activities in the area. We had low snow so went hiking at the nearby Anvil trailhead and took a walk on the frozen lake. The outdoor firepit was perfect for a fire on the warmer night. Beds are comfy and the kitchen is set up great. We would definitely recommend!

The house was amazing! Tons of games, puzzles and things for the kids to do. Lots of living space for everyone to spread out- play games, watch tv, or just read without interrupting the next. The kitchen was furnished with all the essential cooking items. The rooms had plenty of space, proper lighting (for reading, changing, etc.) and storage to unpack and feel at home. The bathrooms are clean and have plenty of towels and supplies. Details are thought of! This house also has a lot of “smart” details that we appreciated. Motion lights for at night, Bluetooth speakers, etc. Easy access to the lake for fishing and skating. The suggestion to hike the local trail was appreciated! Looking forward to our next trip there.

Had a wonderful time with our entire family (11 adults and 4 kids) celebrating Thanksgiving, and our 28th wedding anniversary. We had plenty of room to gather for meals, watch football and play games. There is a lot to do and the kids really enjoyed the basement with all the games. The location was perfect and very secluded. We hope to be able to come back during warmer weather to make use of the lake and all the fun toys the house provides.

Great space for the 11 of us: 7 adults and 4 children. Very clean with plenty of space to spread out or for us all to gather together. Beautiful lake front with gorgeous pines. We felt very secluded even though other houses were in the area. Very quiet neighborhood. In the morning as we were preparing to leave 2 beautiful large, white swans swam along the lakefront.

Oh my gosh -we had a wonderful family trip to Katie & Dan's home in Eagle River!! (8 adults, a toddler & an infant).
The house is so lovely and thoughtfully furnished with little touches that made the stay even better......kids books & a gate on the deck stairs; pickleball net & loads of outdoor games, including kayaks & paddleboards; firewood to use (inside & outside); plenty of seating in living room & dining room (that match the number of guests the house can accomodate); plenty of towels & hooks in the bathrooms; adorable reading lights over each bed; great dock for our boat.
The weather mostly cooperated and we hit the perfect timing for "leaf peeping". A tour of the cranberry bogs at Lake Nokomis Canberries, Inc. was a favorite!
We'd love to book again soon!

We had a great day at Anvil Lake Lodge, just outside of Eagle River, Wisconsin. Having access to paddle boards and kayaks was fantastic! An outdoor fire pit was a real charm as well. It was a great place to celebrate our mother’s 80th birthday! We were surprised to learn how much eagle River has to offer in the middle of winter time and would like to come back to experience the cross country skiing in snowmobiling. Overall the airbnb was fantastic inside and to have a game room downstairs was just great would’ve been nice to have a little more sand for the shuffleboard, but there was plenty of other great things to do like board games and Atari. But that wasn’t an issue because we lucked out with some of the most amazing weather to catch the fall foliage at its peak.

We had a little getaway with a group of friends and the place was beautiful and quiet. The view of the lake is gorgeous which you can see from inside the house and especially from the large deck where we spent most of our time. Highly recommend.
